Description
The Blizzard Female Skills Development Camp is a female-only program designed to build strong individual skills while advancing players’ understanding of the game. This camp focuses on refining core skills, improving skating mechanics, and developing confidence with the puck in a structured, supportive environment.
Athletes will train through skill-specific sessions that emphasize puck control, shooting execution, and power skating techniques, while learning how to apply these skills effectively in game situations. The program supports player progression by strengthening both technical ability and hockey IQ.
Format
Full-Day Program
- 3 hours of on-ice instruction daily
- 3 hours of off-ice development (movement, coordination, hockey IQ, competitive activities)
- Grouped by age and ability
- High-tempo, skill-focused training environment
Total On-Ice Development: 15 hours

Focus Areas
Puck control and protection, shooting fundamentals and power shooting, skating mechanics, power skating techniques, edge control, passing skills, game concepts, confidence with the puck, skill application in game situations
Instructors
Mark Lee is a former professional hockey player and accomplished coach, currently serving on the coaching staff of the QMJHL's Saint John Sea Dogs. With a 15-year pro playing career across the AHL, ECHL, and top European leagues, Mark brings elite-level experience and insight to player development. As a co-owner of Blizzard Hockey and lead summer camp instructor, he is known for his high standards, detailed skill work, and ability to prepare athletes for the next level.
